Welcome to the Dudley Council Test Sites Appointment System
Who can get a Symptom Free Covid test?
Symptom free covid tests are for asymptomatic people.
Symptom-free (Lateral Flow) testing appointments are available to book for residents and people working in the Dudley Borough at Saltwells EDC, Dudley Leisure Centre, selected pharmacies and new community locations across the borough.
Anyone who needs to leave their home for any reason (such as work, caring responsibilities, shopping, etc.) is being encouraged to get regular rapid symptom free Covid-19 tests.
Regular, twice weekly rapid testing for people without symptoms is a vital part of the fight against Covid-19. One in three people don't have any symptoms, so don't know they have the virus. Rapid symptom free testing finds hidden cases, ensuring you don't pass it onto family members, friends or workmates, stopping the spread of the virus.
The symptom free test is a painless, quick and easy throat and nose swab and results are back within an hour.

Tests are available 7 days a week and at evenings. By booking a symptom-free test people will quickly and easily get their results within the hour. You can save time by booking your second test for the week when you book the first.
No appointment slots: Although people are encouraged to book an appointment in advance, people are now able to turn up without an appointment.
These tests are for people who are completely symptom free. If you have any of the symptoms of coronavirus:
- a new, continuous cough
- a high temperature
- a loss or change to your sense of smell
- or if you feel unwell for any other reason you must book a standard COVID test at one of the borough’s testing sites.
You must only get a symptom-free test if you feel completely well and have no symptoms at all. If you feel unwell but are not displaying the usual symptoms of coronavirus, you must book a standard COVID test and not a symptom-free test. You can do this by selecting the below option on the standard COVID test booking form:
My local council or health protection team has asked me (or someone I live with) to get a test, even though I do not have symptoms.
This service is available to adults and children meeting the above criteria. Parents can have their children tested if they perform the swab on the child.
